Youth girls hoop program set

Mountain Home Lady Tiger varsity basketball coach Brent Keener is inviting girls from third grade to sixth grade to sign up for the Spring Youth Tiger Basketball program.

"I am excited about the opportunity to provide this program, which will be focused on learning the fundamentals of basketball, introducing some basic plays, and team building," said Coach Keener.

Keener indicated two leagues will be formed with third- and fourth-grade students and fifth- and sixth-grade students.

Practices will be held twice a week in the evenings, with games played on Fridays.

The cost of the five-week program is $25, which will include a team t-shirt.

Registration forms are available at the front office of the elementary schools. Pre-registration may be done at the front office of the high school. The deadline for signing up is March 31, the first day of practice.
