Tennis team sees record numbers

Thursday, March 19, 2009

Mountain Home Tiger tennis coach Tamzy House is excited about the numbers for her high school tennis program -- the most in the school's history.

House has 20 boys and 24 girls with six lettered players and 11 junior varsity returnees. House indicated a little over 60 percent of the team is new to tennis.

"Overall, I think this year will be very exciting," said House. "Seeing this many kids out on the court in Mountain Home, having fun, working and playing hard just for the enjoyment of the sport and its camaraderie, just further vindicates my belief that tennis is truly a wonderful lifetime sport."
