Kids honored for box top collections

Students at Hacker Middle School collected and turned in 4,270 Box Tops for Education yielding $427 for the school between Feb. 2-27.

During this second collection of the school year, each student who contributed received a bag of goodies, which hid a raffle ticket and sweet treats. Throughout each week, Hacker held a number of drawings and students holding winning tickets won a variety of additional prizes.

The students who held wining raffle tickets during the February collection period were: Ricky Winslow, Ian McMahan, Heather Krebs, Angie Shockey, Whitney Sandberg, Audrey Ling, Riley Lease, Steven James, Samantha Criddle, Angelita Main, Hunter Ralphs and Ian McMahan, who won in two separate drawings.

Each of the top three contributors received a prize pack containing gift certificates to local businesses, school supplies, and a thank you note from Mrs. Belk, the Box Top Coordinator and PTT liason.

Hacker principle Nichole Cruser expressed appreciaton to all of the students, parents, and patrons who save their Box Tops and donate them to Hacker Middle School.
