Katharina Libby

Katharina Sperlein Libby, 75, of Mountain Home, passed away February 27, 2009 at a Boise care center, of natural causes. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 115 N. 4th East in Mountain Home. Inurnment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home.

Arrangements are being provided by the Zeyer Funeral Chapel. 467-7300. Katharina was born July 17, 1933 in Bomberg, Germany to Johann Sperlein and Theressa Sperlein. She was one of five children. Her siblings were; Michael, Georg, Emma and Raphael. Only Emma and Georg are still alive.

Katharina married Max E. Libby and they were blessed with two sons; Charles F. (Cathy) of Boise and John D. of Daytona Beach, Florida. Her Husband, Max, passed away in November 1994. In that same year Katharina moved to Mountain Home, Idaho and has made that her home. She is a devout Catholic and has very many friends in the church and around town. Katharina will be missed very much.
