New bishop to conduct service at St. James

A Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, open to the public, will be held Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. in the parish hall at St. James Episcopal Church.

In addition to pancakes, bacon, sausages, eggs, juice and coffee will be served.

Ash Wednesday, Feb. 25, is the first day of the Lenten Season, with Holy Eucharist Rite One and the Imposition of Ashes by the Rev. Larry Harrelson at 7 p.m. in the large church.

The Rt. Rev. Brian Thom, the new Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho, will make his first visitation to St. James on Sunday, March 1, at 10 a.m. This Holy Eucharist Rite One service, with purple Lenten hangings, includes the consecration of the new Baptismal font in the large church.
