Plans continue for Mountain Home Tiger alumni football game scheduled for June 5 at Tiger Field
Plans are proceeding for the first annual Mountain Home Tiger Alumni Football Game set for June 5 at Tiger Field.
Mountain Home Tiger head football coach Brian Floyd indicated there's a lot of excitement building for the fundraising effort.
"Obviously with the economic times, we have a hard time fundraising. We have a hard time doing lots of things, but this is an excellent way to raise a little bit of money, and then, too, give the community a huge entertainment value, because from what I'm hearing, we've got so many people that want to do this, we're just waiting for the registration forms to come in.
"I think it's going to be amazing, if there's as many people that have already told me they're going to play, we might have two games that night."
Mountain Home alumni that graduated in odd years will be playing against those that graduated in even years, and since this is an odd year, the odd year team will be the home team.
"That's the format we have right now, and if we need to we'll break it up into like 10 years, because I've had a lot of people come up to me, kids that I have coached and say they want to play in it," said Coach Floyd. "It's going to be a fun time."
Registration forms are available at the Mountain Home High School office, or can be downloaded off the school website at www.mtnhomesd.org. For more information contact Coach Floyd at the high school at 587-2570.
