Give WECRD a chance

Dear editor:

I am very unhappy with all the negative things being said and written concerning the WECRD.

I think the directors put in a tremendous amount of hours (for free) and effort to handle the amount of work and detail involved in trying to get ideas, grants, etc., to begin construction on Phase I of the Recreation center as soon as possible.

I believe the indoor swimming pool and especially the therapy pool is a real necessity in Mountain Home -- as well as an activity room.

The taxes we pay are a small amount. We also pay taxes on the golf course and other things.

I have been working with the Blue Ribbon committee since almost day one and I am proudly wearing and displaying a "blue ribbon" to show my support. The community needs to get behind them and support them -- not run them down at every opportunity. I thought that was what we voted for in November.
