Santa plans visit to read at library

Thursday, December 18, 2008

Santa Claus will be making his annual visit to the library on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m.

While at the library, Santa will be reading and asking that all important question; "What would you like for Christmas?" before he makes his big trip on Christmas Eve.

"Give and Receive" is the theme for the library's annual canned "food drive for fines" to aid in keeping the holiday spirit alive.

Library members can bring in one can for $1 in fines, up to $5. If one does not have fines, bring in one can and receive a voucher good for $1 in possible future fines, up to $5.

The library also will be taking donations for fines of pet food for the animal shelter, one can for $1 in fines. A five-pound bag of dry food is good for the $5 credit.

Children's Story Time will feature holiday stories each Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Library Little Ones, for toddlers, meets in the library meeting room at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
