Marsh has a vision for the community

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Dear editor:

I visited recently with Mollie Marsh. She was sharing her passion with me about Mountain Home, kids, and a dream that was given "wings to fly" when the citizens voted in the Western Elmore County Recreation District (WECRD) in November 2000.

It reminded me of Moses leading the Israelites into the desert. The thought came -- where there is no vision the people perish.

Mollie, and many citizens have a vision for Mountain Home -- to see the Recreation Center become reality. The land is purchased, money has been saved -- here comes the vision into reality!

"I say to Mountain Home -- Receive the vision, it is coming, our Rec Center will be here soon! Receive it! Believe it!" I don't want to wait 40 years for our promised vision, like the Israelites.

Here's a challenge to Mountain Home -- give $50, or more, towards the center and ask them for your name to be placed on a brick. What can it hurt to give? With almost a million in the bank this building won't be a deficit to Mountain Home- -- it'll be a "gem" in this great gem state of Idaho. A "gem" right here in the small community of Mountain Home! As soon as the ground breaking begins "WE" will be a diamond in the rough!

By golly vote for Mollie! She's leading Mountain Home, with a vision, into our "promised (land)" Recreation Center!
