JV soccer drops first game of season

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

The Mountain Home Tigers JV Soccer Team was defeated 1-0 Wednesday on the road by Nampa, the team's first loss of the season.

Both offensive and defense played a hard game holding the score during the first half to 0-0. During the second half Nampa took a shot on goal that skipped off goalie Thomas Guillan's fingers and made it into the corner of the net.

The loss shouldn't change the standing of the team, which heads into the JV district tournament holding the first seed. District is Oct. 10-11 at Skyview.
