JV soccer off to 10-0 start

The Mountain Home JV boys soccer team remains undefeated on the season after winning the last three games.

With a record of 10-0 Mountain Home is currently in first place in conference play.

Tigers 2

Columbia 1

Mountain Home battled Columbia at home Sept. 22. Ben Cumber and Jalen Gibbons scored for the Tiger JV. Goalies Tomas Guillen had six saves on goal and Gerardo Salinas had five saves.

Tigers 1

Middleton 0

The Tigers remained unbeaten after a tough game with Middleton.

Tomas Guillen had three saves and Gerardo Salinas had four saves to keep the Tigers alive with a 1-0 win.

The single goal was scored by Mert Baysal.

Tigers 2

Jerome 0

Defense stepped it up again with Gerardo Salinas' six saves. He made a penalty kick stop again at the 15-minute mark to keep the score 0-0. Tomas Guillen helped keep it a shutout with four saves on the goal.

The two goals were scored by Jalen Gibbons and Casey Pehlke.

They travel this week to Nampa on Wednesday and play next Monday at Bishop Kelly for the last two games of the season. District tournament competition will be held at Skyview.
