Fourth grade student grows 29-pound cabbage

Just call him the Cabbage Patch Kid. All he needs is an entire steer for the corned beef to go with it.

North Elementary fourth-grade student Parker Ford, chosen to compete in the Bonnie Plant Farm Cabbage Scholarship Contest last year, used the seeds provided for the contest to grow a 29.5-pound cabbage.
