Charles Nathan Sharp, 65, of Hayden, Ala., formerly of Mountain Home, died Aug. 22, 2008.

Rev. Jimmy Townsend conducted the services on Aug. 28 at Spring Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were by McClain-Hays Chapel.

He was born Aug. 10, 1943, to Elmore and Mary Sharp and raised in Jones County. He made his home in Neshoba County most of his live. He had been a resident of Hayden, Ala., for the last three years.

He was a Baptist.

He lived in Mountain Home for 13 years, where he owned Charlie's Top Hat and Charlie's Bar. "Some of the best years of his life were spent in Mountain Home and he had many friends," his family said.

He is survived by: his wife, Lou; daughter Dana Sharp; sons Kyle Sharp and Jeff Sharp of Hayden, Ala.; step-daughter Michelle Sewell and her husband, Ben, of Powell, Tenn.; stepsons James Van Heron and his wife, Melissa, of Priceville, Ala., Harold Heron of Hayen, and Steven Heron of Merritt Island, Fla.; sisters Violet Hatfield and her husband, C.L., of Laurel, Dot Smith and her husband, Willys, of Waynesboro, Mary Hatcher of Meridian, and Martha Jordan and her husband, Henry of Belize (Central America); and brothers Jimmy Sharp and his wife, Vanessa, of Philadelphia, and Glenn Sharp and his wife, Judy, of McComb.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Leo Hatcher.
