Kudos to airshow

Our congratulations to the men and women of Mountain Home Air Force Base and the private Silver Wings organization for putting on an outstanding airshow this weekend.

A true tip of the hat goes to all the base personnel who volunteered and did such a great job showing off the value of U.S. airpower and this base in particular. And another nod goes to Silver Wings, who fought through some difficult rules and regulations to not only help organize the show, but pay for many of the civilian performers.

The airshow was a perfect example of the synergy between base and community that helped those not so closely tied to the 366th Fighter Wing understand how important our local military is, not only to us, but to the nation.

Nothing is ever perfect, but the people who put on this show came as close as was humanly possible.
