Bishop Kelly snaps Lady Tiger's win streak

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers girls soccer win streak reached three last week before it was snapped by Bishop Kelly.

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers made it three straight wins last Monday when they pounded Nampa 7-1 at Nampa.

Jessica Tindall scored four goals in the win, Francesca Hale, Shianna Hawley and Jennifer Juarez also had goals, Hale had two assists, Amy Hymer, Kristie Sigloh, Angie Rios and Claudia Bermensolo also had assists. Alicen Wendall had two saves as goalkeeper, as Nampa only got three shots on goal for the game.

"The girls are really starting to put it together," said Mountain Home Lady Tiger soccer coach Dan Snelgrow. "We only had two goals at half-time, but they really came out second half! These girls are really going to be good if they keep working!"

The Lady Knights from Bishop Kelly kept their unbeaten record, shutting out Mountain Home, 4-0, last Wednesday at Bishop Kelly. The loss snapped Mountain Home's three-game win streak.

Mountain Home had just four shots on goal in the game. Alicen Wendall had seven saves on goal for the Lady Tigers, who dropped to 3-2-1 on the season. The Lady Tigers have three games this week. They were home against Emmett on Tuesday, travel to Skyview on Thursday and Jerome on Friday.
