JV Lady Tigers split soccer shoutouts

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers JV soccer team split a pair of shutouts last week, blanking Middleton, but getting blanked by Kuna.

Kelly Robins and Jasmine Deroy both scored two goals last Tuesday as Mountain Home shut out Middleton, 5-0, in JV girls soccer at Eastside Park.

Alondra Rodriguez also scored a goal and Shannon Caldwell had an assist.

"The defense of Victoria Pack, Courtney Christiansen, Shannon Caldwell and the goalie, Amanda Kitzken, was the driving force behind the shutout," said Coach Teresa Hymer.

Kuna 6

Mtn. Home 0

Mountain Home battled Kuna to a scoreless tie through the first half, but Kuna came alive in the second half, scoring six goals to beat the Lady Tigers JV 6-0.

"The girls fought hard until the end, but we couldn't get any balls in the net," said Coach Hymer.

Amanda Kitzke had 15 saves on goal for Mountain Home.

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers JV soccer team is now 2-2 on the season.
