Deputies deal with serious accidents

Elmore County authorities had to deal with a number of major accidents over the Labor Day weekend.

A major fatal accident in Ada County, just barely over the Elmore/Ada County blocked traffic in the westbound lanes of Elmore County past Simco Road and halfway to Mountain Home Monday.

At about the same time Elmore County Sheriff's deputies were responding to a crash at milepost 113, near the Hammett exit, involving an eastbound motorcyclist.

On Sunday a 15-day-old baby boy who was in a car seat that was not properly fastened and his mother were hospitalized after being ejected from their vehicle during a single-vehicle rollover on I-84 near Mountain Home.
