Emily Cates

A total of 286 youths participated in the Mountain Home Public Library's Summer Reading Program.

Participants were entered into several drawings. Winners of the drawings were:

* Little Busy Bees -- Makayla Clark, Victoria Morton and Samyna Allen.

* Big Bumble Bees, those that came closest to the number of "Book Worms" in the jar (192) -- Zachary Kollat-190, Samantha Rogers-195 and Josh Wellman-180.

* Teen Readers -- Morgan West, Genevieve Walters and Michelle Deal.

The other big winner at the library was Emily Cates. During the summer there were four special statements on the library website, one for each family night.

Emily was the only participant to come in and tell Librarian Robin Murphy all the website answers. She received a special bag of goodies at the last Family Nite.

The librarians are busy recuperating and getting ready for school to start. Story time and Library Little Ones will begin in September.
