Audrey L. Boldt, 77, of Glenns Ferry, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at her home.

At her request, no services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Audrey was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Winnipeg, Canada. Her family moved to the United States when Audrey was 16 years old.

Audrey married Grover Boldt in July 1967 in Jacksonville, Fla. When Grover retired from the Navy in November of 1972 they moved to the Pacific Northwest.

Audrey and Grover started RVing in August 1989, finally settling in Glenns Ferry in 1996. "Audrey loved to travel and spent eight years full time traveling and went six times around the US, visiting all 48 states and parts of Canada and Mexico," her family said.

"Audrey loved gardening and planting flowers. Her yard was always immaculate and beautiful," they added.

"She was a devoted mother who left a bad first marriage with two young children and worked her way through secretarial school to provide for them," her family noted.

"She was an avid reader, who especially loved mysteries. She loved people and was always willing to help others. She made numerous lifetime friends throughout her travels," they said.

Audrey is survived by: her husband, Grover, of Glenns Ferry; her daughter, Elaine Blodgett of Texas; her son, John H. Boldt of Washington; her stepson, Johnny W. Boldt of Texas; her stepdaughter, Donna Thorpe of Illinois; her sisters, Judy Singleton of Florida, Sally Peeples of Florida, Gloria McLeod of Alabama, Shirley Singleton of Florida, and her brother, Sidney Ough of Georgia, and three grandchildren.
