Glenns Ferry Opera Theatre opens

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

Glenns Ferry Opera Theatre will open its 15th Summer Season on Friday, June 13 with the comedic murder mystery "In Memoriam". On Saturday, June 14, the theatre will begin its performance of the melodrama "Stop the Presses, She's Not My Type!".

Showtime is 7:45 p.m. with dinner service beginning, both evenings, at 6:30 p.m.

Dinner and a show is $22.50 per person, or attend the performances only for $6/ seniors and children under 12 years, or $7 for general audiences.

Reservations are required if you are planning to eat dinner, and should be made well in advance. Reservations for performances, only, are not required but are recommended, especially as the season progresses.

Performers for these shows come from all over the Treasure and Magic Valleys. Connie Wills noted this year's cast includes performers from as far away as Boise and Twin Falls.

Cast members from plays performed in the past will be given special recognition during the performances. Birthdays and anniversaries will be celebrated with a song from the cast, and, of course, the passing of a train will incite performers and audience members alike to rise up and sing "I've Been Working on the Railroad"!

To make reservations, call the Willses at 366-7408 or the Theatre at 366-2744.
