Golf team finishes in back of pack

Mountain Home golfers finished sixth in the girls competition and ninth in the boys at last week's Broadmore Invitational Golf Tournament.

Middleton won the girls competition, shooting a 408, with Emmett a distant second at 446. Columbia was third with 454, followed by Vallivue, 461, Skyview, 484, Mountain Home, 486, and Centennial, 526.

Shelby Stevens led the Mountain Home girls with a 117, which was 15th overall. Alicen Wendal was a couple shots back at 119, Brandie Riggs came in with a 124, Shayla Streeter carded a 126, and Chandler Cain shot a 171.

Mountain View won the boys competition, coming in at 315, two shots better than Centennial. Timberline was third with a 328, followed by Skyview, 333, Borah, 339, Bishop Kelly, 354, Boise, 358, Emmett, 360, Mountain Home, 363, Middleton, 370, Columbia, 380, Nampa, 391, and Kuna, 408.

Brad Yagues led the Tigers with an 86. Zach Pomerantz came in with an 89, Stephen Elliot, 91, Travis Goldsby, 96, and Michael Heinen shot a 105.
