Lady Tiger JV sweeps Burley

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers JV softball team started the week off with a loss to Kuna, but battled to beat Columbia and swept two from Burley to close out the week.

A nine-run fourth inning helped Kuna down Mountain Home 11-4 in JV softball action Tuesday at home.

Modesty Labbe, Blas Lord and Carly McMullen each had two hits, Jennica Quintal and Casey Liercke both had one.

Shelby Doerr suffered the loss.

Mtn. Home 13

Columbia 12

The Lady Tigers pounded out 15 hits in a 13-12 win over Columbia last Thursday in JV action at Columbia.

Alex Schmidt had four hits including a double and triple and drove in five runs. Blas Lord, Jennica Quintal, Modesty Labbe and Amanda Osborn each had two hits, Lord, Quintal and Osborn had two RBIs, Rachel Warila and Jaclyn Lasuen also had hits, and Shelby Doerr had an RBI. Blas Lord pitched the first four innings and Shelby Doerr the final three.

Burley 2, 6

The Lady Tigers hosted Burley in JV action on Saturday, and took two games from the Lady Bobcats.

In the 10-2 win in the first game, Blas Lord picked up the win, pitching six innings, giving up the two runs on two hits while striking out seven and walking five. Shelby Doerr pitched a scoreless and hitless seventh. Amanda Osborn and Alex Schmidt both had three hits, Quintal had three RBIs, Schmidt, one. Jaclyn Lasuen had two hits, Jennica Quintal, Modesty Labbe, Casey Liercke, Hannah Barresi and Tori Sheridan each had hits, Liercke and Sheridan had RBIs.

Mountain Home won the second game, 9-6, with Shelby Doerr going the distance for the win, striking out 12.

Modesty Labbe had three hits, Jennica Quintal, Amanda Osborn, Casey Liercke and Rachel Warila each had two hits, Quintal and Liercke both had two RBIs, Osborn. one, and Alex Schmidt and Shelby Doerr also had hits, Schmidt had an RBI.
