Golf team finishes fourth, prepares to host invitational

The Mountain Home Tigers boys and girls both finished fourth at a four-team golf tourney at Purple Sage Golf Course in Caldwell on April 8.

Middleton won the girls competition, shooting a 193 total. Columbia finished second at 208, Skyview was third at 211, and Mountain Home came in with a 225.

Shayla Streeter led Mountain Home with a 49, which tied her for fifth place, 12 shots back of Calli Hipp of Middleton, who took medalist honors. Brandie Riggs came in eighth with a 53. Alicen Wendal shot a 59, and Hannah Zamora carded a 64.

Middleton also won the boys competition, shooting a 166, besting Skyview by two shots. Columbia was third at 186, and Mountain Home came in at 202.

Zach Pomerantz led Mountain Home with a 46, which placed him ninth, six shots back of Dillon Laan of Middleton. Stephen Elliott shot a 48, Travis Goldsby and Evan Hiddleston both shot a 54, and Destry Royce came in with a 56.

The Tigers host the Mountain Home Invitational on Thursday at Desert Canyon Golf Course.
