Montessori school kids to ride trikes as fundraising effort for St. Jude's

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

Students from Children's House Montessori School will be participating in the St. Jude's Trike-A-Thon to help raise funds for the internationally recognized hospital.

The event, scheduled for this week, will help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against childhood catastrophic diseases.

Children's House Montessori School will teach their pre-schoolers about using riding toys safely through week-long activities. They will also provide a parent-awareness program that involves the parents in safe behavior practices to help ensure their child's well being.

"Our goal in holding this event is to help the children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, sickle cell disease and other catastrophic illnesses. We are also helping our children stay safe and help prevent injuries while learning about bicycle safety. It is truly a win-win program." said Cindy Ray, owner of Children's House Montessori School.

Contact Cindy Ray at 587-8161 for more information on the event or to make a donation.
