Students at West were able to raise $3,775 to donate to the American Heart Association. The donations will be used by the American Heart Association to do research and provide education to help fight heart disease and stroke, and to provide medicine and CPR training.

Students learned that by staying physically active and doing activities such as jumping rope they will decrease their risk of heart disease and stroke.

For three weeks students worked on their jump roping skills in PE and on the final day of the program they participated in the Jump Rope for Heart event.

Students at West who raised money received thank you gifts from the American Heart Association.
