King Hill canals open today

Monday, April 14, 2008

King Hill Irrigation District will begin turning water into the canals on April 14.

Customers served by the Black Mesa pump station will get their water first.

Water customers in Glenns Ferry will have water by April 16, and the town of King Hill and those customers served by the Wylie pump station will get their water on April 17.

All dates are contingent upon the weather and demand by farmers.

Customers are reminded to make sure all their outside water spigots and valves are in the OFF position.

The 2008 assessment, and any delinquent bills, must be paid in full before a customer will be allowed to use irrigation water.

Canals can be dangerous. What looks calm on the surface often has swift moving currents below. Please do not use the canals for swimming holes for yourself, your children or your pets.
