Several Mountain Home Youth Soccer teams had high-scoring victories on Saturday as five of seven teams notched a tally in the win column.

The U16 Boys beat Boise Capitals Select 9-2 with Austin Clark taking a strong through pass from Blake Pachner to score one of his three goals on the day.

Tony Crownhart added two points for the Tigers, Alex Martinez put a 20-yard free kick into the upper corner of the net and Chito Brito and Eloy Guadarrama rounded out the scoring for Mountain Home with one goal each.

Coach Jeff Gibbons said "Brian Raddatz played fantastic in goal. Our defenders, Casey Pehlke, Tyson and Jalen Gibbons and Isaiah Daniels were tested by the Capitals superb passing game but handled it well."

The U14 Boys topped Middleton 9-4 with Mike Daniels and U13 guest player Ricardo Araujo each putting two in the back of the net for Mountain Home. Single goals were scored by Brent Sexauer, Tyler Brennan, Drew Borgholthaus, Gustavo Martinez and Marco Rodriguez.

"The boys passed well and utilized each others talents. Tomas Guillen did a great job in goal for us," Coach Rob Daniels said.

The Ul1 Girls provided their hometown supporters with a 5-3 win over Middleton at City Park in Glenn's Ferry.

Anna Orr and Melissa Garza both powered in two goals for the Co-Pilots, with Samantha Tveidt providing the final tally in the victory.

"The girl's skills have improved greatly since the fall season and they are having so much fun that it really shows in each of their games," Coach Patty Villavicencio said.

A big win was also put on the boards by the U17 Girls with a 10-0 shutout over Kuna.

Scoring was provided by: Shianna Hawley (4), Jessica Tindall (3), Adriana Garcia (2) and Nichole Koopman (1).

Defenders Amy Hymer, Fatima Guillen, Tasha Belling and Nicole Snelgrow helped maintain the shutout for goalie Alicen Wendall.

"Ball movement and heads-up play were keys to the dominating performance," Coach Paul Walsh said. Every girl contributed!

"We've really been working hard during practice to stay focused and make good passes and it sure paid off on Saturday."

The U18 Boys continued their undefeated season with a 5-2 win over Real Boise as JJ Barroso, Nick Gula, David Walters, Raif Armstrong and Greg Walsh provided the scoring power on the day.

"We had solid performances from several players today including midfielder JJ Barroso and defender Lucas Marsh," Coach Mike Glover said.

MHYSA's U12 Boys (Coed) lost a hard-fought match to Middleton, with Jacob Lucas and Isaiah Carlisle each putting in two goals in the 7-4 loss.

"Defenders Kodi Vines and Eric Stratton were frustrated by Middleton's strong crossing passes that gave the opponent numerous chances in front of the goal," Coach Jim Stratton said. "We couldn't put together consistent attacks. Brandon Bodily and Garrett McKenzie had several shots stopped by their goalie. Shaun Holland provided great midfield passes to help his teammates set up scoring chances. Hopefully we can get back on the winning track next week."

Individual game statistics were not available for the U13 Boys' 8-1 loss to the Nampa Kickers.
