Mountain Home made just four points in the first quarter and trailed 7-4 heading into the second. They shot better in the second, and were down 20-15 at halftime. It was 33-26, Emmett, heading into the fourth, and Mountain Home battled back and narrowed the gap to two, 38-36, but couldn't get their final shot to drop.

The Lady Tigers had another frigid night shooting Thursday night, losing to Middleton's JV 41-24 in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home.

Mountain Home shot just 11 percent (2/19) from the field in the first half as they trailed the Lady Vikings, 21-7 at halftime.

They doubled their point total in the third quarter, but were down 34-15 heading into the final quarter. The closest Mountain Home got in the fourth quarter was 39-24, late in the game. Middleton scored the final points to make it 41-24.

Charde Huntington led Mountain Home with 10 points and eight rebounds. Jasmyn Jewett netted four points, Annika Moody, three, Breann Christiansen and Sarah Cantrell both had two, Kelsie Hopkins, Blas Lord and Ashley Christiansen each added one point.

Emmett 45

Mtn. Home 22

Mountain Home went into the District JV Tournament as the number six seed and faced third-seeded Emmett. Cold shooting hurt the Lady Tigers as they lost to Emmett, 45-22.

Mountain Home trailed 17-5 after a quarter, and was down 26-7 at halftime. It was 34-15, Emmett, after three.

"It was a tough loss," said Lady Tiger JV basketball coach Jeremy Sayer. "We pretty much got kind of out-hustled. We didn't seem like we were ready to play hard. There were a lot of loose basketballs and rebounds that they got."

Charde Huntington led the Mountain Home scoring with five points, Brenda Hawkins and Sarah Cantrell both scored four points, Blas Lord and Breann Christiansen each had three, Annika Moody, Ashley Chrisitiansen and Bre Sugden all had one point.

Mountain Home put up 48 shots, but just six fell through the nets for 13 percent shooting. Mountain Home sent Emmett to the foul line 42 times and the Lady Huskies converted 20 of them. Mountain Home made 10 of 23 free-throw attempts.

The loss ends the Lady Tigers season at 7-14 overall. Coach Sayer reflected back on the season.

"It was kind of an up-and-down season. It seemed like we had the potential to be tough and aggressive, but then at times we kind of got passive and let things kind of slip away that I thought normally we wouldn't, and gave up a lot of things. That was kind of frustrating as a coach, because you know that they have the potential to be able to do a lot better. But there's some room for improvement, so we're hopefully looking for that next year for them."
