And you people get your information where?? Most vehicular accidents involving semis are caused by drivers in cars and pick up trucks who are speeding to pass them (on ANY road condition), by those who do not understand the "no drive zone" or blind spots.

Let me ask you this, how do the goods we buy in the stores get there? How is our food delivered to grocery stores, our mail from one post office to another, that special care package from grandma from back east, etc? If it werent for truckers you wouldnt have food in the stores to go buy, your mail would be back to the pony express and I guess grandma can just walk that care package 2800 miles to you.

Pay attention, truckers dont cause the problem, they are avoiding you and have no desire to be in an accident any more than you do!

  • Yes they do.

I drive to Meridian everyday and I cant begin to tell you how many trucks, yes I said trucks are driving to fast for conditions. Some of them seem to think that just because they are bigger and fully loaded that they can exceed the speed for the conditions at hand. One day their luck will run out and they will kill someone.

  • Well you have just as many idiots in cars and trucks as you do in big rigs....it works both ways, they still should be respected as humans, the total opposite of how they are treated out there over the road!!!

  • Here's a simple solution for folks complaining about truckers: Just speed up and pass em...that always works for me. =)

  • LOL. Was that a Haiku, Sinister? Let me try that...

    Hark, there goes Sinister,

    Driving slower than molasses.

If he/she doesn't get out of my way,

I'll drive even faster as I passes.

  • Coming from you Sinister, I'll take that as a compliment.

And PS-I know what haiku looks like. Try getting a sense of humor sometime...it can TRULY be a lot of TRULY fun! LOL.
