JV boys beat Bishop Kelly and Emmett

The Mountain Home Tiger junior varsity boys picked up conference wins over Bishop Kelly and Emmett last week.

The Mountain Home Tigers boys JV shot out to the lead in the first quarter and went on to beat the Bishop Kelly JV 51-39 Thursday night at Bishop Kelly. Mountain Home led 26-18 at the half, and built up a 35-22 lead through three quarters. Their biggest lead was 16 points, and they went on to win 51-39.

Danny Snelgrow and Gabe Anderson led the Tigers with 17 and 14 points respectively. Jared Sexauer scored five, Trevor Woodruff, Dallin Dean and Chris Austin each had four, and D.J. Elliott, coming off an injury that has sidelined him all season, scored three points in his first action of the season.

Emmett 36

The Tigers held Emmett scoreless in the final two minutes to pull away for a 54-36 conference win over the Huskies at home in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium Saturday night.

Danny Snelgrow led the Tigers with 15 points, D.J. Elliott added 12, Logan Monasterio, nine, Jared Sexauer and Trevor Woodruff each had six, Gabe Anderson, five, and Dallin Dean, one.
