Tiger wrestlers sweep duals from Borah and Emmett

The Mountain Home Tigers swept dual wrestling matches from Borah and Emmett Thursday night in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home.

Tigers 64

Borah 11

Mountain Home won 11 of 14 matches against the Lions Thursday night as they downed Borah 64-11.

Winning by pins for the Tigers against Borah were Devonte McClain (112 pounds), Ty Kleffner (135), Cal Vivier (145), Kamron Spaulding (152), Tanner Carpenter (160), and Chris Knudson (171). Winning by forfeit were Matt Ward at 189 pounds and James Bailey at 285. Nico Pinque won a 12-2 major decision at 140 pounds, and T.J. Billinger (119) and Kaeo Doronio (130) won decisions. Erwin Ruiz (125) lost by pin, and the Tigers forfeited at 103 pounds.

Emmett 12

Mountain Home swept 12 of 14 matches in a lopsided 68-12 win over Emmett Thursday night at home.

Winning by pins were Kaeo Doronio (130), Nico Pinque (140), Cal Vivier (145), Kamron Spaulding (152), Tanner Carpenter (160), Chris Knudson (171), Colby Lord (189), Matt Ward (215) and James Bailey (285). Devonte McClain (112) won by forfeit, Ty Kleffner (135) won a 14-0 major decision, and T.J. Billinger (119) won by decision. Erwin Ruiz lost by pin, and the Tigers forfeited at 103 pounds.
