Some suggestions for Gov. Otter

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

Dear Governor Otter:

Please lead your party through the valley of the shadow of partisan politics to achieve this pro-Idaho agenda.

1 . Repeal the 6 percent sales tax on food, at the grocery store, for everyone. Pay for it by eliminating sales tax exemptions.

2. Allow "Citizen of USA" on Idaho ID cards.

3. Require state approval of coal and nuclear power plants.

4. Protect minimum stream flows from irrigators.

5. Resolve to restore the Snake/ Salmon River wild anadromous fish runs.

6. Issue wolf tags with moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat permits.

7. Outlaw breeder elk farms and confined elk hunts.

8. Don't tax non-motorized river craft.

9. Practice the democracy that America preaches in Iraq by keeping the Republican primary in Idaho democratic.

10. With a joint resolution of the Idaho legislature, petition President Bush to pardon Sen. Larry Craig.
