Booster Club seeks more members or it may be forced to disband efforts

The Mountain Home High School Booster Club is in need of parent members and volunteers to support its booster club program.

"If we cannot find more members and volunteers this will be the last year of the booster club," said spokesperson Tamra Downen.

"The student athletes benefit from this program. Please don't let it dissolve."

Downen noted that the club's goals are"to support the athletic department and raise funds to supply scholarships for lettered athletes every year."

The group meets the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Mountain Home Assembly of God church, 315 S. 4th East St., behind Paul's Market. The group's next meeting will be Jan. 7.

"Any and all help is needed for the club to continue to support the student athletes," Downen said.

To earn money for the program the group sells Tiger apparel at many of the home games and concessions at other fundraisers.

"We need volunteers to help accomplish this," Downen said.
