Donation to Cheer Basket

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Representatives of US Ecology, which operates a national hazardous waste disposal site near Grand View, donated $5,255 to the Cheer Basket program of Mountain Home, during a visit by Gov. Butch Otter to Glenns Ferry Monday (part of his Capital for a Day program in small communities). Accepting the donation were Alain Issac and Idaho National Guard SSgt. Darin J. Henecke, of the Mountain Home armory.

The money was raised by US Ecology from within its own ranks and from other companies along Simco Road. The National Guard forces in Mountain Home, Bravo Troop 2-116 Armored Reconnaissance Squadron, have been working closely with the Cheer Basket project to raise food for the needy in the area.
