Smith finishes with bronze medal at Idaho State Drama Competition

MHHS theater students had five squads in the semi-final rounds at the state competition

MHHS theatre students performed well at the Idaho State Drama Competition this weekend in Coeur 'd Alene. with five of the squad's eight entries moving into the semi-final round.

Spencer Smith moved on to the final round in his category (solo humorous) and placed 3rd in the state, the first time a Mountain Home High School Student has earned a medal at state competition.

Semifinal qualifiers represent the top 16 of each category out of the initial 50-60 entries per category.

Semi-Final Competitors were:

* Gesika Brock and April Kerbyson (Ensemble Humorous)

* Spencer Smith (Solo Humorous)

* Amanda Russell and Joe Russell (Ensemble Pantomime)

* Lindsey Norris (Solo Humorous)

Cari Coleman and Tristin Stempfley moved on to the final round--the top eight in the ensemble humorous category, but they did not place in the top three.
