Jon and Jennifer Sowers, owners of the Dusty Rose Inn, recently donated a nickel plated circa 1900 "National" cash register to the Mountain Home Museum.

"We were told it has always been in a Mountain Home barber shop," said Jon Sowers, "and we felt it would be a fantastic piece for the museum so everyone can enjoy it."

The register is in working condition and will be used for purchases in the museum Gift Shoppe.

"Please ring the $1 key and add your donation to help preserve Mountain Home history -- it's fun," said Jennifer Sowers.

  • I could be mistaken but I belive that Susan Olson had this register in her barber shop beside Stokers Jewelers some years back. The shop was called Custom Cuts.
