Art show and sale draws good crowd

The Visual Arts Committee held its 2nd Annual Vocals, Arts, and Crafted Beer Show and Sale on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Hampton Inn.

The event featured numerous local artists. The displayed work ranged from hand-painted art, photography, and hand-blown glass to jewelry and included the art of crafting beer. Works by Marcus Mashburn and Brenda Raub were at the show.

"The evening was a huge success," said both Raub and Patti Hamaishi. The event attracted artists and people from Boise and Mountain Home Air Force Base with approximately 250-300 attending the event.

Teapots Galore!

In the teapot division, 40 artists participated and 200 people contributed to the success of raising approximately $1,500 for art scholarships in the silent auctions.

The People's Choice was Patti Hamaishi's "Arsenic and Lace."
