City recreation to sponsor 'Super Safe' Halloween

The 2007 Super Safe Halloween Carnival, sponsored by the city Parks and Recreation Department, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Hacker Middle School.

The free carnival is open to all children ages 0 to 14 years old. The event averages participation of about 500 children each year.

The fun will include over 20 game booths, face painting, and a costume contest for all age groups, which will begin at 6:30 p.m.

"We take pride in offering a safe place for children to dress up for Halloween, play games, and enjoy lots of candy and prizes that we have for all participants," said a parks and rec spokesperson.
