Magistrate's Court

(Editor's note: The Mountain Home News reports all items released by the court each week. Readers should note, however, that some cases may be quite old. Any time there is a change in status of a case, such as a withheld judgement successfully or unsuccessfully completed, or a probation violation that results in all or part of a suspended sentence being executed, or a number of other factors, some quite minor, the case will be kicked back out by the courts and show up in the reports, usually without an explanation of what the change was.)

Deana Diaz, 43, had charges of battery-domestic violence/traumatic injury and resisting or obstructing officers dismissed by the prosecutor.

Alexander B. Thompson, 19, had a charge of aggravated assault (with use of deadly weapon/instrument) dismissed by the court.

Jesus M. Martinez, 31, had a charge of resisting or obstructing officers dismissed by the prosecutor.

Martinez was charged with battery, plead guilty, however the case is being withheld.

During trial, Martinez was charged with contempt of court, found guilty and ordered to spend 5 days in jail.

Miguel A. Jurado, 46, was charged with domestic violence (violation of protection order). Jurado pleaded guilty, however the case is being withheld.

Jurado had a charge of second degree stalking dismissed by the prosecutor.

Jurado was charged with a probation violation, found guilty and ordered to serve 1 year in jail (347 days, 16 days credited) and placed on 1 year probation.

Arthur J. Castillo, 32, was charged with destruction of a telecommunication line/instrument. Castillo was found guilty, ordered to serve 60 days in jail (58 suspended, 2 days credited), placed on 1 year probation and fined $500 ($250 suspended) plus $197.50 in court costs.

Castillo had a charge with theft of labor/services/use of property (deception) dismissed by the prosecutor.

During trial, Castillo was charged with contempt of court, found guilty and ordered to serve 5 days in jail.

Jason E. Alderman, 36, had a charge of failure to stop at a damage accident (leave scene) amended to failure to notify upon striking fixture on the highway at an accident.

Alderman was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail (10 days suspended), placed on 12 months probation and fined $500 ($350 suspended) plus $134.50 in court costs.

Alderman was charged with failure to purchase and holding an invalid drivers license, found guilty, and fined $150.

During trial, Alderman was charged with contempt of court, found guilty, sentenced to 5 days in jail (3 days suspended, 1 day credited) and fined $100.

Dustin W. Even, 25, was charged with driving without privileges. Even was found guilty, sentenced to 2 days in jail, had his drivers license suspended for 180 days, and fined $250 plus $164.50 in court costs.

Even was charged with contempt of court, found guilty, ordered to serve 5 days in jail (3 days suspended, 1 day credited) and fined $100.

Briana Crisman, 21, was charged with inattentive/careless driving, found guilty, ordered to serve 10 days in jail (10 days suspended) and fined $300 ($100 suspended) plus $82.50 in court costs.

Crisman was charged with failure to appear for misdemeanor citation, found guilty and fined $75.

During trial, Crisman was charged with contempt of court, found guilty, sentenced to 5 days in jail (5 days suspended), and fined $50.

Jason Daniel Shelor, 24, had a charge of reckless driving amended to inattentive/careless driving. Shelor was found guilty and fined $100 plus $72.50 in court costs.

Shelor was charged with failure to appear for a misdemeanor citizen, found guilty and fined $75.

Antonio J. Parisi, 19, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance amended to controlled substance (frequenting place used, etc. Parisi was found guilty and fined $50 ($100 restitution) plus $82.50 in court costs.

Tamar L. Raymond, 31, had a charge for fraud (insufficient funds check) dismissed by the prosecutor, however, had to pay $210 in restitution.

Raymond was charged again with fraud (insufficient funds check), found guilty, sentenced to 30 days in jail (25 days suspended), placed on 1 year probation, and fined $500 ($200 suspended), $210 in restitution plus $72.50 in court costs.

Veronica F. Solis, 24, had a charge of driving without privileges amended to failure to purchase and holding an invalid drivers license. Solis was found guilty, ordered to serve 15 days in jail and pay $72.50 in court costs.

Solis had a charge of insurance (operate vehicle without liability insurance) amended to failure to provide proof of insurance. The charge was dismissed by the prosecutor.

Heather N. Garoutte, 26, was charged with resisting or obstructing officers. Garoutte was found guilty, sentenced to 8 days in jail (8 days credited) and ordered to pay $72.50 in court costs.

Garoutte was charged with failure to appear for misdemeanor citation. Garoutte was found guilty, sentenced to 8 days in jail (8 days credited), and fined $25.

Damon Oliver F. Pinks had a charge of battery-domestic violence amended to battery. Pinks was found guilty, sentenced to 30 days in jail (25 days suspended, 2 days credited), placed on 1 year probation, and fined $500 ($250 suspended), plus $72.50 in court costs.

April M. Williamson, 19, was charged with inattentive/careless driving. Williamson was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail (10 days suspended), placed on 6 months probation and fined $300 ($150 suspended) plus $72.50 in court costs.

Williamson was charged with failure to appear for misdemeanor citation. Williamson was found guilty and fined $50.

Daniel L. Widner, 21, had a charge of failure to provide proof of insurance amended. Widner pleaded not guilty, the court found Widner guilty and ordered a fine of $75 plus $41.50 in court costs.

Widner had a charge of failure to appear for a misdemeanor citation that was dismissed by the court.

Brian N. Gilbert, 17, was charged with the purchase, consumption and possession of an alcoholic beverage as a minor. Gilbert was found guilty, placed on 2 years probation, had his drivers license suspended for 1 year, and fined $600 ($600 suspended), plus $75.50 in court costs.

John W. Williams, 29, was charged with indecent exposure. Williams was found guilty, however, the case has been withheld.
