The Tigers had their two-game win streak snapped at Skyview last Tuesday when they lost to the Hawks, 4-1, but showed a lot of improvement from early in the season when the Hawks beat them 11-1.

"We missed at least six really good scoring opportunities," said Tiger boys soccer coach Paul Walsh.

"Had we made a couple of those, it would have been a completely different game. I'm really proud of the way the kids have really picked things up going into the second half of the season, and hopefully, we can keep that going."

Bryan Walsh scored Mountain Home's goal off an assist by Jesus Vasques. Christian Figueroa had an excellent game with 12 saves on goal.

Middleton 3

Daniel Snelgrow scored off an assist by Bryan Walsh in the last 10 minutes as Mountain Home battled to a 3-3 tie with Middleton last Thursday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

On the day, Snelgrow had two goals, Christian Adamson, one, and Bryan Walsh had three assists. Christian Figueroa had 13 saves on goal for the Tigers.

"It was an awesome effort," said Coach Walsh. "The guys never gave up. We had a really good first half and were up, 2-1. They came back, and we knew they were going to do that, and they went up (3-2), but the kids battled back and they never gave up and we got the score to tie. It was a great effort on their part."

Jerome 4

In a battle of Tigers Saturday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home, the two teams battled back and forth, with Jerome scoring in the closing minutes to get the 4-4 tie.

"Overall, the kids played great," said Coach Walsh. "I wouldn't say it was our best game, but we never gave up. The whole first half we looked really, really good. We really controlled the game and were up 2-1 at the half. Jerome really gave us a battle and played us tough."

Daniel Snelgrow scored two goals for Mountain Home, the first one off an assist by Christian Adamson, and Raif Armstrong and Sway Harner also scored goals. Christian Figueroa had 11 saves on goal.

The Tigers took a 4-5-3 record into this week's games. They were home against Columbia yesterday, and travel to Bishop Kelly tomorrow.
