Patriot Golf Day to aid fallen heroes

The Vineyards golf course in Glenns Ferry will participate in the national Patriot Golf Day on Sept. 1.

On that day, participating golf course around the country will give golfers the opportunity to donate $1 to Wounded Warriors, Inc., which will also benefit the Fallen Heroes Foundation to support families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives in the line of military duty.

Greens fees at Vineyards will be $15 for nine holes and $23 for 18 holes (the nine-hole course is played twice). One dollar from those greens fees will be donated to the Fallen Heroes fund.

Vineyards officials request that those participating call ahead for tee times.
