Paul J. Zarych, Jr., 60, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at a Boise hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, of Mountain Home.

Paul was born on Nov. 29, 1946, in Gary, Ind., the son of Paul Sr. and Delores Zarych, Sr.

He was drafted into the Army in 1966 and retired from the Air Force in 1989. He married his wife, Jeannie, on March 9, 1993. "He loved and cherished his stepchildren, and grandchildren as if they were his own," his family said.

Paul semi retired when his father died in 2000. "He took up woodworking and found he had an amazing skill," his family said with pride. "He crafted many fine pieces of furniture for his family. He loved God with all his heart. He was the most generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is sorely missed and we will carry him forever in our hearts."

Paul is survived by: his wife, Jeannie Zarych, of Mountain Home; his daughter, Heather Hammond of Boise; his daughter, Kimberly Gluch of Arizona; his son, Tracy Hammond of Kuna; his daughter, Trina Hammond of Indiana, an uncle and five grandchildren.

Both parents preceded him in death.
