The Mountain Home News has learned that a former resident, Jerome Elliott, 21, was murdered July 27 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Funeral services were held Monday in Mountain Home.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, Elliot was apparently working on his car outside his apartment that afternoon when he was approached by two white, male subjects. One apparently pulled a gun and shot him to death, according to witnesses. Phoenix police were able to release only limited details of the homicide, but indicated they still were attempting to determine a motive for the attack. The suspects remain at large and police are continuing their investigation. No further details were made available.

  • Wow. Having lived here forever this name sounds familiar. This young man was my sons age.

However unbelievable this may seem, it happens every day throughout the world.

What a sad thing to happen to such a young person, or anyone for that matter.
