Three Island Crossing event starts August 10

The 22nd Annual Three Island Crossing, a reenactment of the 19th century Oregon Trail pioneer crossing of the Snake River, will be held August 10-12 in Glenns Ferry. Photo from 2005 crossing event showing oxen bringing wagon out of the river.

Friday - August 10

7 p.m. - All-Equestrian Parade from fairgrounds to state park (line-up begins at 6 p.m.)

Entertainment near the pavilion at the State Park begins at 7 p.m. and will include Karolyn & Jim, Allen Ranch Rendezvous and Old West Players

Craft and food vendors open from 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m

Saturday, August 11

7 a.m. to 10 a.m. -- Pioneer Breakfast.

9:30 a.m. -- Opening Ceremony at the river's edge (bleachers).

10 a.m - 11 a.m. -- Crossing Reenactment Narrative by Terry Parish and Ted Howard.

11 a.m. --- Wagons and riders enter the river for the Crossing.

12 p.m. -- Wagon parade around state park.

12 - 12:30 p.m. -- Karolyn & Jim

12:30 - 1 p.m. -- Rosin Wranglers

1 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. -- Cloggers

1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. -- Ozark Mountain Music

2:30 - 3 p.m.--- Trey Michael Warren

3 - 3:30 p.m. -- Emily & TJ

3:30 - 4 p.m. -- Shoshone-Paiute dancers

Sunday, August 12

10 a.m. -- Community Church Service - Pastor Steve Ratzlaff
