Louisa was born on Oct. 25, 1921, the oldest of three children, to John and Felipa Uriona. She grew up in Grand View on the family sheep ranch. She marred John Urquidi in July of 1941. They had one son, Richard.
Together they continued to herd sheep for Wood Creek Sheep Company until 1950. They bought a farm outside of Mountain Home where they lived until 1970. After John's death in 1977, she worked in the clothing department at the Merc of Mountain Home, then Paul's Market, "where she never saw an unfamiliar face," her family noted.
Surviving are: her son, Richard and his wife, Karol Urquidi, of Mountain Home; grandson Richard, a Mountain Home city councilman, and his wife, Rhonda Urquidi, of Mountain Home; a brother, Lauri Uriona of Mountain Home; a sister, Sofia Wegman of Boise; three great-grandchildren, five nieces, one nephew and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
