MHHS rodeo team qualifies two for state

Two members of the Mountain Home High School Rodeo team have qualified for the state finals this weekend.

Team members participated in the final two rodeos May 27 and 28 in Caldwell, hoping to score enough points for the season to qualify for state.

On Sunday, May 27, Ali Thomas place 9th in barrel racing, Justin Jarvis took 6th in team roping with his partner and also took 2nd in steer wrestling.

On Monday, May 28, Billy Graham took lst in bull riding, while Jarvis took 3rd in steer wrestling and 7th in tie-down roping.

The season's awards were handed out Monday after the rodeo and the state qualifiers were announced.

Graham ended up 2nd in bull riding. Jarvis took 3rd in steer wrestling and 3rd in saddle bronc.

The two will now compete in the Idaho High School Rodeo Finals in Pocatello June 18-23.
