Five Lady Tigers earn 1st Team All-Conference

All-Conference awards were announced at last week's softball awards dinner.

Five Mountain Home Lady Tigers earned First Team All-Conference honors.

Nickayla Skinner earned First Team All-Conference pitcher, Sammy Dodge, First Team All-Conference catcher, Kim Hamilton, First Team All-Conference third base, Ashley Kipp, First Team All-Conference outfield, and Ashley Christiansen, First Team All-Conference designated player.

Mountain Home Lady Tiger softball coach Joy Memmelaar also announced a number of awards voted on by the team members.

Tiffany Smith was voted the Most Improved Player over the season.

Ashley Kipp was tabbed the Most Inspirational Player, and Sammy Dodge and Nickayla Skinner shared the Most Valuable Player award.

The Lady Tigers brought home the second-place trophy from the 4A State Softball Tournament in Coeur d'Alene, and finished with a 21-10 overall record, marking the highest finish and most wins ever by a Mountain Home Lady Tiger softball team.
