Dewey W. Lee, of Rawlins, Wyo., was found dead in the Snake River.

The Elmore County Sheriff's Office has taken the lead investigating the death of a truckdriver found in the Snake River near Bruneau last month.

The body of Dewey William Lee, 42, of Rawlins, Wyoming, was discovered by a local fisherman close to the Loveridge boat launch area over the Memorial Day weekend.

On May 11, Elmore County authorities found an abandoned tractor trailer rig that belonged to Lee on the eastbound on-ramp of Exit 121 on Interstate 84 near Glenns Ferry, which is located about 25 miles upstream from Bruneau.

Apparently, Lee had picked up a load of lumber products in Parma and was returning to Utah, where the company he worked for, Triple L Transport, is located.

Detectives are trying to piece together details of why the truck was left on I-84 and how Lee wound up dead in the Snake River.

Lee is described as a white male, five foot eight inches tall and weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Some visible tattoos include several across the knuckles of his left hand and a red and black colored tattoo on the lower left forearm described as a sorcerer wearing a cape.

Anyone who has information or might have seen Lee or his truck is asked to call the Elmore County Sheriff's Office, Detective Division at (208)587-2100.
