Authorities discover another marijuana growing operation in northwestern Elmore County.

Tipped off by a local fisherman, the Elmore County Sheriff's Office has discovered another large marijuana growing operation of more than 1,800 young plants, which was not far from a discovery made earlier in May.

This past Tuesday, investigators were led to an area in northwestern Elmore County that was in the general vicinity of where officers uncovered close to 6,000 marijuana plants a couple of weeks ago.

Detective Clint Andrus said that these plants were much younger than the ones found in May, with many of the seedlings still contained in plastic cups and bags.
