DeVore selected as SIC 4A baseball coach of the year

Baseball awards were handed out by the Mountain Home Tiger baseball coaches at an awards banquet on May 22.

Prior to the players awards, Mountain Home High School Athletic Director John Clark presented Travis DeVore with the SIC 4A varsity baseball Coach of the Year award, as voted on by the conference coaches.

Clark also presented Mark Cotton with the JV baseball Coach of the Year award, as voted by the conference JV coaches.

Receiving the Most Valuable Pitcher award was Gabe Anderson. Best Work Ethic award went to Robert Vanderpool, and Chris Maholick received the Most Inspirational Player award.

Coach DeVore handed out the varsity awards and letters. Alex Hoffman and Joe Poseley shared the Most Inspirational Player award. Most Valuable Offensive Player went to Chris Rau. Ricky Lee earned the Most Valuable Defensive Player award. Most Valuable Pitcher award went to Jake Hiler, and Cal Vivier received the Best Work Ethic award.

Coach DeVore announced the All-Conference selections.

First Team All-Conference Infield went to Chris Rau. Jake Hiler earned First Team All-Conference Pitcher. Ricky Lee earned Second Team All-Conference Outfield, and Cal Vivier earned Second Team All-Conference Infield.

Coach DeVore also announced the All-Academic Awards for students with a grade point average of 3.50 or better. Earning those honors were Brock Morris, Tom Hennessey, Robert Vanderpool, David Bitrick, Jonathan McCabe and Kevin Wilkinson.

Tyson Sessions and Chris Rau received State awards for having a GPA of 3.75 or better.
